Updating bios asus rog
I've done a lot of Googling on this but I can't find a step by step guide on how to do this.
However, after learning bits and pieces from various threads, I've managed to come up with a list of steps on how to go about this. Until you develop a good backup and restore method that pen drive is your life line you check to see if there are connection for 2 Hdd.?
But I check it on every board since it has saved me numerous times Thank Johan! I've been pretty busy so I haven't been able to keep up with the Ry Zen threads as much.
Figured this could use its own thread as I bet there will be more issues soon.
I set my hard drives to AHCI originally and didn't want to change to RAID so just entered the BIOS and checked the settings were still on AHCI.
After all this my PC seems to be booting up as normal and working fine.
I’ve built quite a few PCs, HTPCs and home servers using ASUS boards and have found them to offer a great blend of performance and quality.
But since then, not often but sometimes, on startup I get blackscreens and it takes a long while before the screen shows things.
(Not the monitor, have tried with multiple) So where should I download the new BIOS version, and how should I install it?
Hi all, I built my first PC this weekend and went through updating various drivers from the asus website after installing windows.
As part of this I updated the BIOS by accident (I didn't realise that this can be risky until after I ran the update).I have no idea if other ASUS boards also have these issues.
